On behalf of the Department of Family and Community Medicine, welcome to the third year family medicine clerkship rotation. The specialty of Family Medicine (FM) has a long history of caring for people of all ages in their communities through a patient-centered and team-based approach. We want to share this practice with you through on- and off-campus experiences. For those of you who are completing an AHEC rotation, you will have the option to live and work in one of the many rural communities across the state. Our Voluntary Faculty preceptors in the community graciously share their practice and their valuable time as part of their commitment to help us fulfill our educational mission.
