Drug Reference

Medscape - A drug information search tool. The database combines information from the National Drug Data File with information from the American Hospital Formulary Service Drug Information.

MedlinePlus: Drug Information - Consumer-oriented online drug information resource created by the U.S. National Library of Medicine. Provides information on thousands of prescription and over-the-counter medications (OTC).  Setup free membership.

AAFP Center for Health Information Technology - An institute devoted to the promotion of electronic medical records, e-health, and mobile health.

Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society - Organization focused on providing for the leadership for the optimal use of healthcare information technology and management systems.  Among other things, resources include tips, tools, and hot topics.

PubMed Clinical Queries - Provides two filters to limit MEDLINE retrievals: a Research Methodology Filter and a Systematic Review Filter.

UpToDate - A clinical reference tool comprised of topic reviews addressing many aspects of primary care. Paid subscription is required.

TRIP Database - A database created in 1997 to bring together all the 'evidence-based' healthcare resources available on the Internet. A free registration is required.
